The 24mm Brandon provides a base power of 53x with these spotting scopes, and 80x using each scope’s built-in Barlow lens. Contrast is excellent, as is the color correction, making it ideal for observing subtle color variations in plumage. Its high resolution makes small details in distant birds sharp and easily seen.

It has somewhat short eye relief that will vignette the field for eyeglass wearers.

While the eyepiece will fit into a conventional 1.25" telescope eyepiece holder, the eyepiece barrel is threaded to screw into the diopter adjustment tube on Questar spotting scopes as a safety measure so that it can’t accidentally be lost in the field.
