The 30x high resolution Elite eyepiece is designed for use with the discontinued 77mm Bausch & Lomb Elite spotting scopes only. It has been optimized for the highest possible contrast and resolution, rather than a wide field (since designing for a wide field often requires compromising sharpness). It is fully multicoated for excellent image quality, with bright and clear images to the very edge of its 1.5° field of view. It has a roll-down rubber eyecup to let eyeglass wearers take advantage of its very good 16mm eye relief. There is little vignetting of the field if you must wear eyeglasses while observing. The eyepiece bayonets securely into the 77mm Elite spotting scopes and can be changed in seconds. There are dust covers for both ends of the eyepiece to keep it dust-free when not in use.
