| The Celestron 8 x 32mm Ultima DX is a center focus B-body porro prism with fully-multicoated optics and BaK-4 prisms for high light transmission and contrast. The body is O-ring sealed and nitrogen-purged to be waterproof and fogproof in all climate extremes.
The binocular’s rubber armor provides a secure grip, even in wet weather. You can add an optional tripod adapter for extended no-hands viewing from a fixed observing location.
The Celestron 8 x 32mm Ultima DX comes with a soft case with carry strap, a separate 1" wide woven neck strap, twist up rubber eyecups, and objective lens covers. An eyepiece rainguard is also standard equipment. A rotary diopter adjustment on the right eyepiece lets you match the binocular’s performance to your eyesight.
The 8 x 32mm Ultima DX gives you a very wide 8.2° field of view, with relatively little field curvature and very low distortion. Color fidelity is excellent. Eye relief is 16mm, for essentially unvignetted viewing when wearing eyeglasses or sunglasses. The twist-up rubber eyecups lock in place when fully extended, but a quick twist unlocks them again so they can retract for eyeglass use.
The 8 x 32mm Ultima DX close focuses to 10’, which makes for a very good woodland birding binocular when combined with its wide 8.2° field of view, as well as a good all-around waterproof/fogproof binocular for any weather conditions you might encounter.
