Product Description

This high quality bolt-style polypropylene eyepiece container provides inexpensive protection for your expensive optics. It keeps an eyepiece or Barlow safe, dustproof, and dewproof. It has a hexagonal base that prevents the eyepiece or Barlow from rolling if the container is placed on a slanted surface. Soft foam inserts inside both ends cradle the eyepiece or Barlow and keep it from rattling around during transit. If the foam insert in the top of the container is too loose for your liking, a piece of double-faced tape (not supplied) can be used to hold it in place in the container top. Additional foam inserts (#52FOAM) are available optionally to provide a more snug fit for short eyepieces. The screw-closure design cannot open accidentally, even if dropped. The length is adjustable to hold any eyepiece or Barlow measuring between 65mm (2.55") and 100mm (3.9") in length, with a maximum diameter of 52mm (2").

Some of the wide range of eyepieces and Barlows that fit in this container include:

    1.- all TeleVue Radians;

    2.- all TeleVue Type 6 Naglers;

    3.- the original 7mm Nagler;

    4.- TeleVue 19mm Panoptic;

    5.- TeleVue 32mm and 40mm Plössls;

    6.- Celestron Ultimas 30mm and longer;

    7.- 1.25" 23mm Celestron Axiom;

    8.- Meade 40mm Series 3000 Plössl;

    9.- all Celestron/Vixen, Meade, and TeleVue zoom eyepieces (including the Nagler zoom);

    10.- all TeleVue 1.25" Barlows and Powermates (except 3x Barlow);

    11.- the Takahashi 30mm LE eyepiece, and

    12.- all Celestron, Meade, and Vernonscope 1.25" Barlows.

The ends screw together smoothly and have a firm fit. The build quality appears very good. I purchased these for vintage 1.25" eyepieces such as meade MA, Meade research grade, televue plossl smoothies, but they seemed to only take up about half the width inside. Lengthwise is a great fit. When three styrofoam inserts are used the eyepiece is held snuggly in place. But I did not like that there was so much extra room from side to side. Although my 40mm televue smoothie fit very nicely all around. (Posted on 8/5/2019)

I purchased one of these for my 1.25" Paradigm Dual ED eyepiece. It works great. There is foam inside to protect the eyepiece and it is threaded for easy opening and closing. Highly recommend! (Posted on 1/14/2019)

I purchased one of these for an ASTRO-TECH 8MM 1.25" Paradigm eyepiece. It works great. The eyepiece container is threaded for easy opening and closing and it has foam inside to protect the eyepiece. Definitely recommend. (Posted on 1/14/2019)

I use several of these for my eyepieces, they are worth the small investment to protect such a large one.
Keeps statically charged foam from cases from sticking all over your eyepiece collection. (Posted on 1/13/2019)

I have one of these for each of my Paradigm Dual ED eyepieces. I like them so much that I bought the big 120x85mm version for my hand grenade Explore Scientific 24mm 82 degree 2" eyepiece after using these.

They protect the eyepiece very well without taking much more space than the eyepiece by itself. They're very easy to use even with gloves. Highly recommended! (Posted on 12/28/2018)

Have purchased both sizes for 1.25" & 2" eyepieces and well worth the investment. Easy opening and removal of the eyepiece even with gloves on. (Posted on 11/29/2018)
