I bought these for the 2017 American Solar Eclipse. I went camping in the middle of Wyoming near maximum totality, so I wasn't near internet access. Unfortunately shortly after breaking them out, the focuser thread came out and they wouldn't focus anymore. Luckily a friend was able to spend about 5 minutes finessing the focuser to get it to grab again, and we were off.

These have a wide FOV and limited resolution. You can definitely see larger sunspots, but without much detail. However, the small form factor was nice for ease of use and passing around with friends.

They were nice to have for the eclipse, but there isn't enough of a "wow" factor to get me to use them day to day. And I feel like the quality is pretty much winning the "race to the bottom" to get solar binoculars at such a cheap price. If you already have a telescope, I'd personally recommend a primary objective solar white light filter, since you'll get much nicer views with that setup. (Posted on 12/28/2018)

I got mine to catch views of the sun during my workday. Easy to both carry around and handhold, but your gonna need some big sunspots to see with these bins. Good value for it's price point. (Posted on 10/16/2018)

I purchased these for the solar eclipse. They work well except for one thing. The narrow field of view makes it difficult to find the sun, particularly if it is high in the sky. I wish I had purchased the larger, more expensive ones. (Posted on 10/6/2018)
