This Telegizmos Solar Scope Cover is designed to fit a Meade 16" LightBridge truss tube Dobsonian whon stored in a 90° (horizontal) parked postion. The cover has two main connected components: a cylindrical truss section with adequate circumference to allow for clearance of the standard mounted finder, and a box-shaped rocker section with enough vertical height for total coverage around the rocker base. Double lap seams with micro stitching attach these two main sections.
Double lap seams are highly resistant to moisture penetration to assure that your scope will stay dry under even the hardest rains. Combined with the waterproof characteristics of the Telegizmos solar material it is made of, this double lap construction assures you of complete rain protection.
But protection from rain is not the only benefit of this cover. The radiant heat barrier effect of the Telegizmos material also protects the scope from harmful UV and heat build-up during the day. This reduces your scope's cool down time at night, allowing you to observe sooner.
And, of course, the Telegizmos cover helps keep your scope free from dust and blowing debris during the day at star parties, or just while your scope waits out on your patio for the evening's observing.
This Telegizmos Solar Scope Cover, when used outside, is intended for exposure periods not to exceed one to two months of continuous 24/7 use.
