Product Description

While this economical Celestron 1.25" PowerSeeker accessory kit is designed to enhance the capabilities of Celestron PowerSeeker telescopes, it will also help expand the performance capabilities of any brand and type of small to medium size telescope using 1.25" accessories - from a 60mm refractor to an 8" reflector or catadioptric.

This PowerSeeker accessory kit includes two fully-coated 1.25" three-element Kellner eyepieces (a 15mm and a 9mm), and three 1.25" filters To bring out surface structure and details in lunar and planetary observing. You get a 24% transmission #25 red filter and a 30% transmission #80A blue for observing features on Mars, Jupiter, Mercury, Venus, and Saturn; plus an 18% transmission neutral density Moon filter to cut down the glare of our nearest celestial neighbor to increase the contrast of its features. The neutral density filter is also useful for splitting close binary stars, as it will reduce the glare of the brighter star of the pair so that the dimmer component isn't overwhelmed by the light of the brighter one.

The kit also includes a micro-fiber optics cleaning cloth for safely removing fingerprints from your optics. Finally, all of the accessories come in a 6.5" x 6.25" x 2" hard plastic carrying case with a die-cut foam interior to keep them conveniently handy in the dark.

A few years back, I bought a used Celestron 114EQ at a Goodwill store without eyepieces. I then bought this kit and was pleased with the quality and price.

This rekindled my love of backyard astronomy. This is definitely a low-end product, but it served the purpose of rekindling my love of astronomy. (Posted on 7/23/2019)

I bought this kit for an older Celestron 114. The eyepieces worked as expected. I moved all of the filters into one of the cutouts. I was able to put a 2x Barlow in the free space, in the lower right corner of the photo above.

I recommend this product.
