Product Description
This Astrozap Flexi-Heat heated dew shield is notched to fit the mounting dovetail on the optical tube of all Celestron 9.25" German-mount Schmidt-Cassegrains. This includes all 9.25" Advanced Series, AVX, CGEM, CGEM DX, and CGE Pro models, including Edge HD versions. The flexible plastic roll-up dew shield is made of black ABS plastic and lined with black felt to absorb both moisture and light. Its Velcro closures are sewn in place for durability.
The heater strip draws only 1.3 amps at full power (although power consumption at normal operating levels will generally be considerably less, particularly with the heat-conserving properties of the dew shield itself). It has a permanently attached 6' power cord terminated by a male RCA plug for connection to an optional (but required) heater control unit.

If you own an SCT mor than likely you need/can benefit greatly from a dew shield. In addition yu’ll most likely need some kind of active de control as well. You can buy separate dew heater strips but why? This combo heat strip /shield does both and is way more confident! Just put on the shield & plug it into your controller & you’re good.
