Product Description
This full aperture filter fits Celestron 8" Newtonian Advanced Series reflector telescopes (C8N and C8N-GT). It has a 203mm/8" clear aperture Type 2+ glass filter element. The filter element is mounted in an aluminum cell with a 241mm/9.5" internal diameter to fit scopes with a maximum diameter of 239.7mm (9-7/16").
You can custom fit it to scopes with an O.D. of 235mm (9.25") to 239.7mm (9-7/16") by using the extra supplied self-adhesive felt.
Always remember to install the solar filter before pointing your telescope at the Sun to avoid instant and irreversible damage to your eyesight.

This fits snuggly on to my 8" Newtonian. Used in the 2018 partial eclipse and provided a detailed clear view of the sun, providing exceptional photo images. This style is a much better solution than an eyepiece filter as it keeps the entire telescope cooler..... (Posted on 10/17/2019)
