Product Description
The reducer is optimized for the 55mm back focal length typical of 35mm SLR and digital SLR cameras that accept T-rings. To attach an optional T-ring to the back of the reducer, you will need either optional adapter #13TRA to use a standard T-ring or optional adapter #13CAW to use a Canon T-ring (the #13CAW eliminates the inner portion of Canon T-rings to provide a larger diameter opening for reduced vignetting). Attaching the SBIG STL11000 Research Series CCD camera will require an optional #13STL adapter.
The #1362 is constructed to work with 2" focuser drawtube telescopes (such as the TV-102) as well as the threaded imaging system accessories of the TV-102iis refractor.
In addition to this #1362, imaging will require one of three combinations of some of the following accessories (which combination is used depends on the type of camera - see the system charts in the feature images below):
a #13T025 0.25" spacer,
a #13T050 0.5" spacer,
a #13T100 1.0" spacer,
a #13CAW Canon wide T-adapter, and Canon T-ring,
a #13TRA standard T-ring adapter, and an appropriate T-ring,
a #13STL SBIG STL11000 camera adapter,
plus the imaging system adapter supplied with the TeleVue telescope.
When using non-IS scopes (such as the TV-102) that have a 2" focuser drawtube, an optional #1363 adapter is required in place of the imaging system adapter that is supplied with the TV-102iis and labeled part A in the system charts.
The system chart feature images below show the required order in which the #1362 and the other optional accessories should be assembled for proper operation.
