Product Description
This latest premium 1.25" eyepiece from Al Nagler uses six optical elements for optimized performance across a very wide field of view. Several different extra low dispersion glass types and specialized coatings are employed for improved contrast and longer eye relief than previous Nagler designs, even those acclaimed as being among the finest wide field eyepieces available.
This newest Type 5 Nagler is available in a 1.25" barrel size only, unlike the much heavier 8-element 1.25"/2" 16mm Nagler Type 2 it is replacing.

I picked this up just before the star party this summer and couldn't wait to take a look. The view was great in my 13" dob. Edge to Edge it was clear and sharp and was a perfect fit between my 11mm Nagler T1 and 22mm Panoptic. (Posted on 9/9/2019)

Has been one of my favorite eyepieces.
It is my goto when using in a large short focal length telescope. (Posted on 7/23/2019)

During a summer star party, i viewed thru various TeleVue naglers and having never looked thru such super high quality eyepieces it was an eye opener (no pun intended) lol. the 16mm with 82' FOV performed flawlessly although i prefer lower power eyepieces whenever possible. Jupiter and the moon were stunning! I give the 16mm 5 stars because the teleview naglers were definitely the finest eyepieces i have ever viewed thru. I feel that some other much less expensive eyepieces come very close to this performance ( the Meade 5000 Ultrawides for example) but as with anything else, you'll pay a premium for the very best out there, and televue delivers as usual. If you have the means to invest in such fine eyepieces you wont be disappointed. (Posted on 10/28/2018)
