This shroud is designed to fit the 10" and 12" Explore Scientific Truss Dobs specifically.
Keep out stray and unwanted light from your 10" and 12" Truss Tube Dobsonian telescope with a lightweight light shroud. Keeping the path dark between your secondary and primary mirror will boost image contrast and brightness bringing out more details. Constructed of opaque black nylon with excellent stretch, each end of our DOB light shroud has an elastic band to keep the shroud in place and allow for an easy fit and installation. Breathable nylon will let air circulate and yet keep dust away, keeping your optics clear and avoiding any unnecessary pressure from the breeze. A must have for the suburban observer where stray light interferes.

When I first received the Explore Scientific shroud for my 12" Dob, I noticed that it has been redesigned from previous versions seen online. As evidenced by the opening for the focusser, this shroud is designed to cover the upper cage. However, even with the lower portion pulled over the rocker box as far as it would go, it was still way too long and fit the telescope poorly. After returning the ES shroud, I purchased a custom made shroud that fits my scope perfectly for almost the same price. (Posted on 10/24/2019)

This shroud is excessively long for even the 12" ES Dob. The shroud has been redesigned to cover the entire upper case, as evidenced by the opening for the focusser. When the lower end is pulled over the rocker box as far as it will go, there is still excess material. For the same price, I purchased a custom made shroud from a third party supplier.
