The Sky-Watcher Evostar 150DX APO is a giant step forward in affordable pricing without compromising quality.  The DX takes a 6" ED doublet lens and finishes the tube out with high end touches that astronomers want.  A tube of this size really needs a strong connection to your mount.  The 150DX has you covered.  Gone are the nice cast rings and vixen style dovetail plate. They are replaced by thick CNC machined tube rings and an extremely sturdy 4" wide Losmandy style dovetail plate to keep flexture at an absolute minimum.

The tube connection isn't the only thing that gets an upgrade.  The 2" crayford focuser has been replaced by a 3.4" dual speed rack and pinion focuser.  This focuser not only allows fine precision, but it is able to hold more weight so your imaging trains will be more stable.  The unimpeded light path from the 3.4" focuser will pass as much light as possible to the eyepeice or camera.  Have no fear, a 2" eyepiece adapter is included with the scope so your 2" diagonal will have a way to connect.
