The 32mm Vernonscope Brandon "flat top" eyepiece is designed for nigh-perfect low power deep sky observing with any telescope type, at focal ratios f/7 and above. Emission and reflection nebulas, planetary nebulas, globular clusters, open clusters - all look superb against the dark sky background of the tack-sharp, high contrast, 32mm Brandon. With shorter focal length scopes, down to f/4, it is still exceptionally sharp at the center of the field (although less so at the edges).

I have had the 32mm Brandon for many years. The flat top version is my favorite. When you look into the eyepiece the barrel just disappears. The 32mm Brandon has a very clean, natural sky background and produces very sharp central images. It works well in my 120mm f/7.5 APO - though not sharp to the field stop with some astigmatism in the outer field. However, it is astounding in any refractor with an f/10 or longer focal ratio.
The workmanship of these eyepieces is excellent. Solid construction with a light weight barrel. And no undercut! They have very good transmission which can be seen with nebula and I find them particularly stunning with large open clusters.
