More product information
This cover will protect any 14” Schmidt-Cassegrain or catadioptric telescope, such as the Celestron CGE1400 and older C14 and the Meade 14” LX200GPS and RCX400. The cover slips over the optical tube and most of the head of the German equatorial mount CGE1400. In the case of an altazimuth mount scope that sits directly on a tripod with its fork arms pointing at the zenith, such as the 14” LX200 and RCX400, the optical tube is pointed at the zenith, parallel to the fork arms, and the cover slipped down over the scope and drive base.

If the LX200 or RCX400 (or an older fork mount Celestron C14) is mounted on a equatorial wedge so its fork arms tilt over to point at the celestial pole, this cover should still fit properly over the rectangular wedge. However, in the case of the Meade Ultrawedge and other deluxe or oversize aftermarket wedges, you may need a larger circumference cover (such as the #TG16) to fit over the wedge. In all cases, if your scope is mounted on an equatorial wedge, measure the circumference of the wedge to be sure exactly which cover will fit your particular installation before ordering, particularly if you have a deluxe or oversize aftermarket wedge. This cover measures 71” in circumference by 54” high.
