The Astro-Tech D Style handle is not only nice to look at, it is extremely useful as it performs double duty.
1. It functions as a handle (This is fairly obvious from the name...) and is 232mm long. The handle will help making set up much easier as you have a solid part to grab onto and not just the tube. With these larger refractors it is basically a must have option.
2. The top of the handle is Vixen compatible making it useful for your astrophotography goals.
3. The kit includes a 13" long Losmandy style D plate dovetail. There are appriate mounting holes to allow the shorter handle to connect up properly with the longer dovetail once conncected to your tube rings.
The CNC machined handle is finished in a durable black anodize.
