Product Description
This lightweight Astrozap metal dew shield is made of rugged 20-gauge welded-seam aluminum. The interior is lined with contrast-enhancing black felt to absorb both stray light and moisture.
The 15" long Astrozap dew shield is finished in a textured matte blue paint to match the color and textured finish of the optical tube of current 10" Meade LX90 and LX200 telescopes. The durable powder-coated finish is baked on for long life and chip resistance. Previous model Meade 10" scopes have a smooth-surface gloss blue finish and our part #1960BL would be a better appearance match to the glossy finish of these scopes than this textured matte blue version.
Three nylon thumbscrews in heavy-duty metal inserts lock onto the corrector plate rim to hold the dew shield onto the telescope optical tube and assure a secure fit.

I have this dew shield formy LX10 and works well as long as the dew is not super heavy. If you live in an area where the dew can get like in Texas it may work better if you have the built in heat strap. Looks nice on the scope as well and is a great color match (Posted on 11/18/2018)
