Product Description
This iOptron 2 kg (4.5 pound) counterweight lets you balance a heavy optical tube and heavy accessory load (such as a photoguide scope, accessory dovetail, mounting rings, and a camera) on an iOptron iEQ30 or ZEQ25 computerized go-to equatorial mount.
The mounts each come standard with one approximately ten pound counterweight suitable to balance payloads up to 15-18 pounds, depending on the mount. Adding one of these 4.5 pound counterweights to the mount (or an optional 9.8 pound counterweight #3006) will let you balance payloads up to the mounts' respective maximum payloads.
A hand-tighten knob holds the counterweight in place on each mount's 20mm (0.78") diameter declination shaft. The counterweight measures 4.6" in diameter and 1" in height.
