This iOptron 8023ACC adjustable height field tripod is one of the mounting options available for the iOptron CEM60 and CEM70 center balanced mount, which comes without a tripod or pier.
The 8023ACC has a 6" diameter aluminum head casting and 1.75" diameter upper leg section and a 1.5" lower leg section (this diamater was the same on the outgoing 2" tripod model). They are chromed steel adjustable height legs as well. It weighs 15 pounds (6.8 kg). Redisgned large lock levers on the legs let you level the tripod on uneven ground and adjust the tripod height to a maximum of 47".
The legs have a center brace for rigidity. A single threaded rod extends up through the center of the tripod head casting and threads into the base of the iEQ45, CEM60, and CEM70 mount to hold it firmly on the tripod. The rod simultaneously tightens the leg brace in place to lock the legs rigidly in the most stable position. A large hand-tighten knob lets you tighten the threaded rod with no tools required.
