Product Description

This is an economical good quality low power eyepiece with fully-multicoated optics. With a 43 degree field of view it has the widest field possible from a 1.25" eyepiece, markedly wider than competitively-priced 40mm Plössls. Its field stop (the rim inside the eyepiece that determines the field of view) is the inside of the eyepiece barrel itself, so you'd have to go to a 2" eyepiece to get a wider field of view. It's designed for the big picture of emission and reflection nebulas, for seeing entire open clusters like the Pleiades in one field, and for scanning nebular remnants like the Veil. It will work well with any telescope type (with the exception of fast focal ratio Dobsonian reflectors), at any focal ratio from f/6 and up, under any seeing conditions. It works particularly well from dark sky sites where light pollution won't reduce the contrast in its bright image. A soft rubber eyecup shields the eye from ambient light and folds down for more comfortable eyeglass use. A knurled rubber ring on the titanium-colored barrel provides a secure grip when changing eyepieces in cold weather. Plastic caps are supplied to keep both ends of the eyepiece dust free.

I use this eyepiece with my C8, ES 102, and with my Quark. This eyepiece doesn't disappoint for the money. The views are great. (Posted on 10/8/2018)

Clear and sharp, excellent FOV, stars are pin point and depth is....well...deep, took my breath away on first light, great for binoviewers, although a bit heavy for smaller scopes, all in all these EP,s are worth every cent. (Posted on 8/4/2017)
