This 6.3" pier extension end up raising your head from the tripod providing you with just that little bit extra height, without giving you strength or stability issues. The extension also adds an additional 2.7 pounds to your mount.

If your over 5ft 10in then this is a real back saver. Introduce a long refractor ota and the extra height is a much appreciated addition regardless of your height. I run my tripod legs at full extension and with this extension comfort is achieved. For those who see instability, Home Depot sells an 18in precut spreader solution for the mount for less then $10.00.
